Animal name: Geoff (Brown and White) Suzy (Black and White)

Reference number: 338 and 339

Sex: Male and Female

Located: Ashton Pound

Found: N/A

If in pound is stray/surrender? Surr

Needs help/out by date: ASAP

General comments:
Another pair that tug the heartstrings, Geoff, 3yrs, is a lovely guy though a little nervous to start with he soon warms to affection. He feels he has to protect Suzy (4yrs) , she's a sweet timid girl that wouldn't hurt a fly and she is very heavily pregnant. The pair are very gentle and deserve more than the c*#p their owner left them to. The horrid little git should be shot or hung out from the highest tree top, im not picky.

these guys would do so much better in a foster home for the weekend. they are traveling monday to the uk. is there anyone who could hold them for the weekend? the girl in a week away from giving birth, she doesn't need the stress of the pound. please.

Someone on my board can also foster; I've told her to contact Marie at the number here so hopefully that might work.

The UK side of this arrangement is trying to reach DID -- they hope to come over by ferry to Stranraer on Saturday. Anyone able to drive these dogs to Belfast or part way there? Also if this arrangement is made could these dogs remain in the pound til Saturday morning and then be collected? I can come get them out on Saturday morning to give to anyone who can drive partway up or all the way to Belfast. Or to hold for them if they drive down from Belfast, if there's no other option.

I am not making the arrangements so the contact needs to be between DID and the UK group but they are unable to reach anyone yesterday or today.

Roy is still available to take these two on Monday from Dublin / Dun L.

Just wondering why Stranraer - is the rescue in the North of England?

Yes they are in the North -- getting to Holyhead is far more difficult and involves a lot of long UK driving, if they go across that way. So they have tried to see if they can themselves drive across via Belfast.

Just to clarify, I am not the contact point for any of this -- I am only posting as a courtesy, as the UK folks are not on the board. So arrangements need to be directly between the two groups involved -- DID and the UK people, who Marie has been talking to.

If needed I can drive these two up to the border to meet them tomorrow as we cannot get any other transport. I may then bring back the oldie in Dundalk for Tess and get her on the train.

I am waiting to hear from the UK crowd who are still trying to contact Marie to make sure these dogs are safe until tomorrow, if they come by ferry.

Just a quick update on this, the two arrived in the UK all safe, spent the night in the north of england, and the mum then travelled down to a birthing expert on monday...
well at 4am this morning 2 little girls were born, healthy, mum doing fine, and in very experienced human hands :grouphug:

geoff is also doing well, still in the north, who will be found a loving home i'm sure..

thanks to all who helped get these 2 out, 4 lives saved thanks to your hard work and kindness

I can't believe she only had two :angeldevil:

She was such a beauty as was the daddy I bet the girls will be adorable. Thank you to everyone involved in this, these babies have had such a good start in life thanks to your help. It could have all been so different if not for the hard work that went into these two. :kisswithflowers:
